Cańon Sol De Mayo- Santiago, Baja Mexico
Santiago, located 40 minutes north of San Jose Del Cabo is a small town beneath Sierra de la Laguna mountain range. Home to these beautiful waterfalls and naturally made punch bowls. From the small town of Santiago you will drive 15 minutes out a dirt road till you reach Rancho Ecologico Sol de Mayo. Once you have arrived at the parking you will walk for about 15 minutes into a beautiful green oasis.
Be warned, once you arrive and jump in the refreshing water you may never wanna leave. The crystal clear water rushes past the rocks creating a natural rock slide that is fun to slide down. The main waterfall leads to the biggest bowl where you are able to jump into from the top – for those thrill seekers. Swimming, cliff jumping not your thing? Don’t worry, there are little sand beaches in the shade and in the sun where you can lay back and relax.
Tips and Tricks:
- Be at the parking lot early – (Over the last few years this location has become more busy but is still no where near a regular tourist attraction.)
- Bring water and snacks – You may be there longer then you think.
- Bring a camera for pictures
- Do not bring dogs or other pets – (No animals allowed past the parking lot)
